Also, our good friend A.G. came and visited us today. Somehow we started talking about how many surgeries Ellie has had...so we decided to count. This is not total hospitalizations, and it does not include dental (which she also has under sedation in the OR), not does it include times being intubated.
She has had 35 procedures done under anesthesia and has been under anesthesia 22 times. (Sometimes they do more than 1 thing per OR (operating room) visit such as put tubes in ears and lengthen tendons in feet, for example. So that is why the procedure number is higher).
