The sputum (junk coughed up from lungs) grew out pseudomonas. This is the bug she typically has when she has pneumonia. So it is confirmed that she does have pneumonia.
The new antibiotic (meropenum) should cover both infections.
She is doing OK today. She still needs a little oxygen and some suctioning. She is awake a tiny bit here and there.
I told her that we were shooting to be home by Halloween because she has spent 2 Halloweens in the hospital already and we don't want to make it 3.

Not pneumonia! Oh dear...not good. I hope the antibiotics can clear it up before Halloween!
Any ideas what Ellie wants to be for Halloween? Probably just healthy and at home! :)
