No Kidney Stones

The ultrasound didn't show any blood clots or kidney stones or anything.  So they think it might just be irritation from the cathedar.  So they have pulled out the cathedar.

She is getting lasix twice a day now to help her go get rid of fluids.

They tried weaning her down on her bi-pap settings.  Her home settings are 14/7.  They had her up to 17/10.  They took her down to 15/8.  But she couldn't handle it.  Her sats stayed OK.  (low 90's which is lower than what they had been).  But her respirations went from about 30 breaths per minute to in the 50's.  So they put her back at 17/10.  They will try again tomorrow.

She has been awake several times today.  Not terribly alert, but awake.

Glad it's not kidney stones. The zoo looked like it was a lot of fun. Tabitha is getting so big. It hasn't been that long since I've seen her but kids just grow so fast.

Whew, so glad there are NO kidney stones. Don't need extra drama.

Is the lasix working? It works on both the fluid on the inside as well as on the outside of the lungs right? Is she less puffy too? Does she get bored just laying around tryng to get better? Or is that her main focus that she doesn't want much other stimulation?

The lasix seems to be working. They are continuing to give her small doses twice a day. Her urine is still really dark. The fluid in and out of her lungs has to be absorbed by the body and then comes out in sweat and urine. She is a little less puffy. But still puffy. I don't think she gets too bored. SHe has been sleeping a lot. When she is awake she gets to watch the Disney Channel and we have her a few switch toys. Although I wish the hospital would get some more switch toys. As far as the stimulation. I think she likes it...but she is just really worn out from being sick and being woken up every 4 hours to do her vest treatment so she is just really tired.

Sounds like she responds as the rest of us do when were sick. Love you Ellie :)
