Back on the mask

So after they extubated her they put right on her bi-pap with her home settings.  She wore it for about an hour.  She got annoyed with it, so we took it off and put her on the nasal canula (for oxygen).  She wore that for 2 hours.  Then got tired out.  So she had to go back on the mask for a few hours.  Then we put her on the nasal canula for an hour and she got worn out.  So she had to go back on the mask.  This time we had to raise her settings (higher than at home).  She's doing okay though.  You can't expect her to be back to normal (normal settings) when her lungs are still quite sick.  She was awake off and on today.
