Update on Ellie
Yea she was finally extubated at 1:25 PM today!
She is doing great on her Bipap.
She is tired and her throat is sore. We are giving Tylenol.
She was intubated on Tues Feb 12, so 11 days.
They have stopped her Colistin ("Toxic" antibiotic). The new one they started last night is 2 antibiotics in 1. It is called avycaz. It contains ceftazidime and avibactam.

Yay! Hope she can tolerate the bi pap near non stop.
Sheis not loving it. But is hanging in there. We will see what the next few days bring.
