We are waiting to check in. I have never seen so many people in the waiting room. There are 8 kids waiting for surgery. The most I have seen before is probably 4-5. It is very crowded. Some people brought 5 or 6 additional people with them. I hope it doesn't bump Ellie's surgery later.
One interesting thing...yesterday while I was on hold waiting to talk to the surgery registration people...their recorded message said to bathe the patient the night before for infection control. I have never been told that before, and they still never told me...I just happened to hear it. I'm sure it probably won't kill you if you don't, but I guess it is a good idea.
